girlguiding scotland

In 1910 Robert Baden-Powell formed the Girl Guides with just a handful of girls and the help of his sister Agnes. Although their numbers were small, the girls passionately believed that they should have the same opportunities to develop their skills and abilities as Boy Scouts.
GLOBAL REACH
It is extraordinary to think that from such humble beginnings Girlguiding has grown to be the largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women in the UK with more than 600,000 members, and that there are a staggering ten million girls and women involved in Guiding worldwide! Girls who join the movement get involved in all kinds of fun and rewarding activities, make lasting friends and learn positive values for life.
Meeting Details:
Guides 10- 14 years [Tuesday Night] Leaders 18- 65 years
